The Biodiversity Science Gateway, a gateway between research and society where the products of research and innovation will become of value to citizens, innovators and institutions. It cannot be ignored that the evolution of public-private partnerships, the emergence of “bottom-up” decision-making models, and the spread of public debate as part of the decision-making process (and even as a preparatory moment for the creation of legislation) are nothing other than the manifestation of a need for active participation that necessarily passes through moments of confrontation, debate, and information sharing. he Gateway will also be a great emblematic container full of local stories, offer scientific advice, exploit biodiversity in a sustainable manner, and share everything produced by NBFC spokespersons over the three-year project so as to be self-financing and self-sustaining.
