Building on the success of the first Water-Oriented Living Labs (WOLLs) Network Webinar Series, a new cycle of discussions is being launched.
The first series concluded with an in-person event in Banyuls-sur-Mer in December 2025. Since then, the WOLLs Network has further expanded, bringing together a growing and diverse community committed to advancing water-smart solutions.
This new series will consist of
three webinars followed by an in-person event at the end of November, which will bring together the entire WOLLs Network to consolidate insights, strengthen collaboration, and further advance the role of WOLLs in shaping resilient water systems.
The first session of this new series
The theme of this first session is “Climate-ready cities & regions: embedding WOLLs into local adaptation strategies”. It will explore how WOLLs can evolve beyond experimentation to become integral components of local and regional climate adaptation strategies.
It will take place on 26 May from 10:00 to 12:00 CET.
- The webinar will focus on how WOLLs can:
- Link results, evidence, and practices to formal planning processes and governance frameworks
- Support long-term resilience agendas at city and regional levels
- Generate actionable knowledge, engage stakeholders, and bridge the gap between experimentation and policy
Through case studies, expert insights, and interactive discussions, participants will gain practical perspectives on scaling the impact of WOLLs and strengthening their role in climate-resilient planning.
