The Partnership Coordination Team (PCT) organises the day-to-day management of Water4All and implements the tasks assigned to it by the Governing Board and the Executive Board, reporting to both of them.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is appointed by the Coordinator, the legal entity in charge of the coordination of the Partnership. He/she acts as the representative of the Coordinator for all activities specifically related to the role of Coordinator. The Secretariat provides technical support to the Chair, Vice-Chairs, CEO, and Governance Bodies, taking care of the administrative implementation of the Partnership.

Juliette ARABI

Juliette Arabi holds a Ph.D. in molecular biology and she has 10+ years’ experience in complex project management.

She is currently international project manager within the “Environment, Ecosystems, and Biological Resources” department at the French National Research Agency (ANR) in Paris. She is trained to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments and to manage multilateral activities.

Over eight years, she has been working in the coordination of the Joint Programming Initiative on “Water challenges for a changing world” - Water JPI (www.waterjpi.eu). She was also involved in various European projects, including the implementation and management of the IC4Water CSA for the development of international cooperation in the water area, and the implementation of activities within the framework of several ERA-NETs Cofund, such as WaterWorks2014, WaterWorks2015, WaterWorks2017 and BiodivRestore.

Since June 2022, she has worked in the coordination team of the Water4All Partnership. She is responsible for the operational management of the partnership, providing support to the CEO, Chair and vice-Chairs in leading governance bodies, reporting to the European Commission and representing Water4All on several boards / exchange groups to ensure synergies with other water-related European initiatives. She is contributing to the animation of the Advisory Boards and leading the process of renewal of participating experts. She is also involved in the management and monitoring of the Ethics and Deontology Board. She represents the ANR, as a funding partner organisation, within the Call Steering Committees for the funding of transnational research projects.

The Water4All Partnership - Water Security for the Planet - is a funding programme for scientific research in freshwater. It aims to tackle water challenges to face climate change, help to achieve the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and boost the EU’s competitiveness and growth.

It is co-funded by the European Union within the frame of the Horizon Europe programme (a key funding programme for research and innovation). The Partnership duration is for seven years from 2022.

The Water4All objective is to enable water security at a large scale and in the long term. Its goal is also to tackle water issues in a holistic frame. 

All forms of life on earth need water. All human activities operate with this resource. Water is part of our everyday life. It is also integrated within urban and countryside landscapes. It is one of the most valuable elements we share with plants and animals.

These simple facts must be kept in mind to understand the Water4All ambition.

This resource is weakened in many places due to climate changes, and human habits. We know that we can improve the way we use water. Everyone has a role to play and especially the scientific research community.

Scientific research is the heart of the Partnership as It is a powerful tool to improve knowledge on preserving, restoring, and managing this essential resource. 

International cooperation is also needed as water has no borders on Earth and runs from one country to another.

Water4All brings together a broad and cohesive group of 90 partners from 33 countries in the European Union and beyond. This consortium gathers partners from the whole water Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) chain.
