1) 5 containers containing a water treatment technology for pilot-scale testing:
- Multimedia filtration (anthracite and sand)
- Activated carbon filtration
- Direct Nanofiltration or crossflow ultrafiltration
- Ultrafiltration (dead-end with IN/OUT or OUT/IN membrane)
- Reverse osmosis (one-stage, two-stage, closed circuit reversed osmosis)
The containers are modular and can be connected to each other to form a treatment train. The experimental setup of the containers allows remote operation and continuous monitoring of critical parameters, including temperature, pH, conductivity, turbidity, and chloride. A UV disinfection unit can be connected to each of the containers. Maximum feed capacity for MMF, ACF and UF units is 3 m³/h. For the dNF and RO it is respectively 2 and 1.5 m³/h.
2) Direct nanofiltration Mexperience (pilot scale; maximum feed capacity is 3 m³/h) and Mexplorer (lab scale)
3) Lab container: including fume hood, muffle furnace, dry oven, advanced milli-Q system, etc.
4) Advanced measuring equipment:
- Ammo::lyser
- Spectro::lyser
- Chlori::lyser
- Several multiparameter sondes
- Orhtophosphate analyser
- UV fluorescence sensor
- N2O sensor
- Autosamplers"
